We understand what we’re trying to achieve and what success looks like.
Practical team development that helps people understand each other, communicate better, build trust and create the conditions for high performance.
From focused team workshops and away days to longer-term team development journeys, every experience is built around what your team actually needs.
Based in Greater Manchester. Working with teams across the UK.

Getting everyone together can feel like an achievement in itself.
But a nice venue, a good lunch and a few team activities don’t automatically create a better team.
The real opportunity is using that time to have conversations that don’t always happen in the day job.
How well do we really understand each other? Where does communication break down? What do we need from each other? What’s stopping us performing at our best? And what are we going to do differently when we’re back at work?
That’s the kind of team development I’m interested in.
Have a great day together. But make sure something is different afterwards.
There’s absolutely a place for fun, energy and shared experiences. In fact, they can be brilliant ways to strengthen relationships.
But developing a team goes further.
Team development is about intentionally improving how people understand each other, communicate, collaborate, handle challenge, make decisions and take collective responsibility for performance.
Sometimes that happens through a single focused team workshop. Sometimes through a team away day. Sometimes through a series of conversations and development experiences over time.
The format comes second.
The first question is always:
‘What does this team need to be better at together?’
High performance isn’t about everyone working harder. It’s about creating the conditions that allow people to do their best work together.
We understand what we’re trying to achieve and what success looks like.
We can rely on each other, be honest and speak openly when something isn’t working.
We share what matters, listen properly and adapt how we communicate with each other.
We understand ourselves, appreciate our differences and know how to get the best from each other.
We can disagree, give feedback and challenge ideas without damaging relationships.
We take ownership individually and collectively rather than waiting for someone else to fix it.
We use the strengths and perspectives around the team rather than operating in silos.
We turn all of this into better decisions, stronger execution and meaningful results.
Different teams need different things. The job is working out where the biggest opportunity is for yours.
I don’t start with a standard team building package. We start with what’s happening in the team and what you want to be different.
From there, I’ll design the right conversation, workshop or development experience around the team.
Sometimes the biggest shift comes from simply understanding why the people around you don’t think, communicate or approach problems in exactly the same way you do.
As a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, I use CliftonStrengths with teams to help people understand their natural talents and, importantly, what those strengths mean for how the whole team works together.
We can explore individual profiles, collective team patterns, strengths partnerships, potential blind spots and where different approaches could either create friction or become a real advantage.
Explore CliftonStrengthsThere isn’t one right format for team development. The right approach depends on the team, the challenge and what you’re trying to achieve.

Before deciding what the day looks like, I want to understand what’s actually happening in the team.
What are you seeing? What’s working? Where are the frustrations? What conversations aren’t happening? And what would make the biggest difference?
Get underneath what’s happening in the team and what you want to achieve.
Build the right experience around the people, challenge and outcomes.
Create an engaging environment where people can think, talk, challenge themselves and work together differently.
Turn the conversations into practical commitments that continue when everyone goes back to work.
The day matters. What happens after it matters more.
I love a good team activity.
But only when there’s a point to it.
My approach combines team development, facilitation, strengths and high-performance thinking to create experiences that are engaging in the moment but useful afterwards.
Sometimes that means deep conversations. Sometimes it means getting people moving, solving problems or doing something completely different. Usually it’s a mixture of both.
What matters is being able to answer one question at the end:
‘So what does this mean for us as a team?’
More about Adam“Adam did a lot of work with our SLT, really getting us to understand our personal and collective strengths, and understanding those has been invaluable. He’s a fab motivator, listener, coach and a super great guy, oh, he can be funny at times too!! If you need to elevate yourself or your team, he’s a go-to.”
“His approach is straightforward, no jargon, no theory for the sake of it, just practical advice grounded in real experience. He challenges people in the right way, helps them think clearly, and focuses on what actually works day to day. Our staff have grown in confidence and capability because of it.”

Sometimes the team challenge isn’t only about the team. Developing the managers and leaders creating the environment around them can be an important part of lasting change.
You don’t need to know what workshop you want. Tell me what’s happening, what you’re seeing and what you’d like to be different. We can work out the right approach from there.
